February is a strange time of the year, especially this school year. Usually it is the time we are all getting tired of the snow and cold, whereas this year we are still waiting for the snow and cold to set in. It is also an intense time of year, hockey playoffs are approaching, job applications for the summer are due, and college decisions are fast appoaching. For me, Februaryt is a time normally used in preparation for baseball, and this year I don't even know if I'm going to play the sport that has been fused with my life since time began for me. So overall, this time of year has been very strange, and evn stranger this year.
The first day of February is just another one of those warm months of this years winter. The normal February is usually cold and snowy, but we have endured 40 degree days. It also makes my brother 21, unfortunately. It's scary to know he can drink legally. The superbowl is coming this weekend, and I have the Patriots going all the way 26-17.
When February comes up in my mind, I think of my birthday and my parents' wedding anniversary. Their anniversary turns out to be on the Valentine day. I imagine what kind of celebration it would be like. Whether it is family dinner or a dinner party with relatives. But most times, we end up doing dinner party. I often look forward to play card games with my cousins because we are all childish and very naughty. I also think of what kind of gift should I give to my parents. Typically, my dad buy red roses for mom and I make homemade cards with love. The cards I make are more like thank you card because I always thanks my parents for being the wonderful and supportive parents. Beside their anniversary, I also daydream about my upcoming birthday. For me, birthday is kind of like a new life is waiting ahead of me. I picture myself getting gifts and money and eating delicious Coldstone Creamery cake. February for me is very exciting month.
